Snow!!

I finally got outside with the girls to play in the snow! They are so fun! I kept asking if they were cold and always got a no. Jamie fell and got a bloody lip so we had to come inside, and they came willingly. I thank the Lord for such great kids, even when I think they are awful brats, they prove me wrong by listening so well when I least expect them too!! Marlie only had one day of school this week, making it an almost 3 weeks off, hope Titus decides to come into the world during her time off.

Yes it has been awhile! I have been working on a few projects and am ready to finally post some pictures of one of them! It is an advent calender that I made out of felt and my own two hands! I used a sewing machine to attach the pockets, which was a task with my inability to sew a straight line! I saw this in pottery barn kids and thought to myself "I can make that" so I did, just changed it to fit my liking and saved myself about 55 dollars! Marlie helped me pick out what to put on the pockets, she is so much fun lately!! I need to start on my Christmas cards and I am making a few ornaments for the nieces and nephews in OK, so I will post some more later! I remember being very crafty when i was 8 months pregnant with Jamie too, makes the time go by faster. OH and speaking of Jamie, she is fully potty trained! She even goes by herself now, which is a feat for her, she likes to be needy!!!! I am so proud of her and am hoping that this month she has before baby gets here is enough to keep her from regressing. It feels so nice not to have diapers sitting on my shelf!!

The pumpkins are picked! We had a great time at the patch, I have scrapbooked most of the pictures, and now its time to paint! Yes we are painting the pumpkins red, or whatever color the kids decide! We have already carved pumpkins and I want these ones to last a few more weeks. Here are some pictures of the pumpkin patch and I will post more of the painting later!

Stinson the Garden(hallway) gnome

We have a little garden gnome named Stinson who has been with our family since Jeremy and I were married 8 years ago, or around that time anyways! He is a little upset with us because he has become a hallway gnome outside our front door in our apartment building. He recently allowed me to take this picture of him because he is pretty stoked that we brought him a littl piece of outdoors inside for him t enjoy this Fall season. You would think after all the years of staying outside all winter that he would be grateful for the indoor time, but that is a gnome for you!!

So my little girl is turning into a craft kid! Marlie is 5 and she is stating to want to make cards with stamps and pick out her own colors! She also is starting to help me make desserts! We haven't quite made it to the actual cooking dinner part, or the cleaning up part yet. My goal for age 6 is to get her to learn these valuable lessons!! She made her very first stamped card. She cut it out and glued it on the paper all by herself, I am so proud I had to share it! The other pictures are of her making Strawberry Rice Crispy treats!!

So here it is, my blog! I have joined the masses and decided that this is a fun way to share my projects and be cool and nerdy at the same time! My kids have made it pretty hard for me to scrapbook and make cards lately, but I still do it with them climbing al over me. My pages might not all be straight, but they are unique. The pictures below are of my recent projects and of my girls at Canadian Thanksgiving and carving pumpkins! My husbands family are Canadian and take full advantage of there holidays! The quilt is not finished, but you get the idea!
