Sew Busy

I am DONE! Woohooo. I have spent so much time sewing and crafting these last few weeks. I had a lot of fun, but Titus doesn't like it when I don't pay attention to him!! I have scrapbooked, paper crafted, sewed pillowcases and a quilt. Oh and made a few make shift dog leashes for the girls' stuffed dogs!!!

I made this banner for Titus' Birthday coming up.
It was another little Boys birthday so I hung it up for him and made his name. I think I may just leave it hanging up until after Titus' Birthday!

The quilt I made was for my Husband who is a HUGE Ducks fan and has been asking for a Ducks blanket for a long time. I finally made him one and was so proud of it I had to give it to him early!! He loves it, keeps his legs warm while he is playing XBox!!

Now off to wrap the rest of the presents and put them "above" our tree!

Torendi blog Hop

So excited to be apart of Torendi's blog hop this month! If you came here from Jenn's blog then you are on the right track! Dont forget to comment on every blog for your chance to win some imported fabric from Torendi. It's called Red Hood and it is very very cute!!

I have had my eye on these pac man felties for a long time and now I finally got to use them! I made this trick or treat pail for my daughter Marlie out of a chocolate powder can from the coffee shop I work at! I didn't want it to be to Halloweenish so she could use it for other things. She loves it and cant wait to use it!

I glued black cardstock onto the can and then drew the dashes on it with a silver sharpie.
Applied a layer of Mod Podge and then glued the felties on! Punched a few holes in the side and added some orange ribbon I got at a garage sale!!

Thanks for joining us and your next stop is the talented Tiff!

Sisters

I made this little piece of art for my sister! She just had her Birthday and I need to send it, but i wanted to put the finishing touches on her other present first!! The pencil holder is for me though!!

I used one of Torendi's kits and desert sand ink from CTMH. I love the felt bird houses Jenn made for this kit so much! I thought the bible verse went perfect with the theme of the paper!
I used the same kit as above on a old formula can I have kept around forever! Jenn has rubbed off on me and i cant throw anything away now! I have a Costco biscotti tub waiting for some love in my craft room!!!

My daughter just learned how to ride her bike without training wheels!! I am so proud of her! She is 7 and she was so scared to learn that it has taken us a while to convince her! The promise of a new toy and a trip to Portland with Mom to pick up Grandma Diane really helped her along! Bribery will get you everywhere!!!!!!! She is doing so well I just cant believe it! Thank you Jesus!! I wish I could say I was a patient teacher, but I cant!! But she forgave me and is riding circles now!!

Firefly

(I know most of my posts are craft related, but not always!)

I am re-watching the series firefly, which I love, and this always leads to watching Serenity after I am done. Now with Serenity you are supposed to get a sense of completion when you watch it, it is supposed to wrap up the show. All I get is the sense of why in the heck did they cancel Firefly! It is a Sci-Fi Western, two of the best genres, I mean come on Space Cowboys, how do you get better than that? I just wish they could have finished what they started in a more satisfying way. We never find out certain things about certain characters that I know they wanted to get to eventually! I wish they could find a way to bring it back, was it just before its time maybe?

Fathers Day!

I am having so much fun making my Father's Day cards with my new EAD gnome rub ons

I got the little tie at Michael's last weekend and have been dying to use it! It was in a kit of shadow box embellishments! The paper is Bam Pop patterned paper I got from Torendi of course, I don't think I use anything else anymore!! My Dad hasn't worn a tie in many many years, but I couldn't resist!! The only problem is that my Dad is going to be out on a fishing boat instead of home, so I may have to send it via seals or maybe a seagull!!

Paper clips

I have to be honest, sometimes I lack imagination. When I received these Humania Clips I thought "what am I going to do with these?" Funny thing is, now I am down to my last one and I need more! I love them, it has been so fun to make cards and scrapbook pages with them. They add such a great touch to the project. Here are a few cards I have made with them lately.
This one is one I made for my father-in-laws birthday! He loves to draw so the paper is perfect! I used Cosmo Cricket Boyfriend paper and chip board for the card, and of course the clip! The stamp is a CTMH stamp from 6 years ago!!

This is just a little card(3x3) that I made for my friends birthday mentioned in my previous post! He is a gamer and so I loved that the controller was bigger than the little guy because any of you who have hobbies know how they can seem bigger than you!! Again the paper and chip board is from my Cosmo Cricket Boyfriend paper pack!!

Sorry bout the glare on the cards, I am working on finding a new camera or a photo box to solve this problem!!

I have these friends!

I have been working on a friends birthday present for a year. His birthday is the day after mine, June 2nd! I worked on it before his birthday last year, then I missed my deadline and then I forgot about it! I finished it this year, but it didn't turn out like I had hoped. I am going to give it to him anyhow even if it is a week late! They are cross stitched pac man ghosts, and then I made them into magnets! I had a lot of fun making them!

Okay so heres the deal though, my husband came home the other night with my birthday present from him and his wife, and it is amazing! Funny thing is it was hand made magnets. It is Olimar and three pikmin from the video game Pikmin that I LOVE!!  So it got me thinking that I need to make him something else to make up for the year lost and something from a game that he loves as much as I love Pikmin. So this pillow was what I came up with! It is a slime from a game called Dragon Quest! I had a lot of fun making this one too, but my husband wants to keep it! Jenn don't let him see, I am bringing it by later!!

Fun with EAD and my new Bike!!

I got a new bike for Mother's day! I love it, but it was kind of plain. I recently ordered some vinyl rub-ons from E.A.D Designs. I LOVE them! They come in all sorts of colors and designs, and they recently started a stickerz line that is AMAZING! Here are a few pictures of the bike. My camera isn't very nice, so the glare from the metal is annoying, but you get the cuteness right?!!!

The rub-ons I used are the retro spring kit in pink!!
OOHH and just in case you were interested the Bike is a
Trek Navigator 1.0 16.5 inch!!

Robots

My friends little girl Olivia turned 1 last month and I didn't get her anything because I was looking for a girly robot gift. I love all things robots, space, an gnomes. Better throw mushrooms in there too! I was looking around online and I found a hand made girl robot plush toy. I said to myself "Self, you can make that". So I ran, well drove, down to the local fabric store and bought some really cute pink fabric and some felt! I think she turned out super cute! I embroidered an O on the heart for Olivia and crocheted the scarf. I haven't crocheted  in so long, I was very excited that it all came back to me so fast!  I think I might try some doll clothes for Jamie next!!

Sarah's Bday present!

My friend Sarah's birthday is Sunday and she is a Sci-Fi freak!! She loves space themed things and wants to name he coffee shop "The Outer Rim", lol get it? She has a wood island in her kitchen and her husband is always getting mad at her for putting her hot pans on it, so I made her some large hot pads that will fit under her large pans! I know she is going to love the fabric soo much! Funny thing is I was watching a medical show the other day an one of the doctors had a scrub cap on made of the same material!!

Zade's card

My nephew Zades Birthday is coming up, and I made him this comic book inspired card from Bam Pop paper I purchased fro Torendi.net! The tag tucks into the back of the card! I hope he loves it! I am going to make him a pillowcase, I will post that later! I am off to the store to get some fabric!
