Firefly

(I know most of my posts are craft related, but not always!)

I am re-watching the series firefly, which I love, and this always leads to watching Serenity after I am done. Now with Serenity you are supposed to get a sense of completion when you watch it, it is supposed to wrap up the show. All I get is the sense of why in the heck did they cancel Firefly! It is a Sci-Fi Western, two of the best genres, I mean come on Space Cowboys, how do you get better than that? I just wish they could have finished what they started in a more satisfying way. We never find out certain things about certain characters that I know they wanted to get to eventually! I wish they could find a way to bring it back, was it just before its time maybe?

Fathers Day!

I am having so much fun making my Father's Day cards with my new EAD gnome rub ons

I got the little tie at Michael's last weekend and have been dying to use it! It was in a kit of shadow box embellishments! The paper is Bam Pop patterned paper I got from Torendi of course, I don't think I use anything else anymore!! My Dad hasn't worn a tie in many many years, but I couldn't resist!! The only problem is that my Dad is going to be out on a fishing boat instead of home, so I may have to send it via seals or maybe a seagull!!

Paper clips

I have to be honest, sometimes I lack imagination. When I received these Humania Clips I thought "what am I going to do with these?" Funny thing is, now I am down to my last one and I need more! I love them, it has been so fun to make cards and scrapbook pages with them. They add such a great touch to the project. Here are a few cards I have made with them lately.
This one is one I made for my father-in-laws birthday! He loves to draw so the paper is perfect! I used Cosmo Cricket Boyfriend paper and chip board for the card, and of course the clip! The stamp is a CTMH stamp from 6 years ago!!

This is just a little card(3x3) that I made for my friends birthday mentioned in my previous post! He is a gamer and so I loved that the controller was bigger than the little guy because any of you who have hobbies know how they can seem bigger than you!! Again the paper and chip board is from my Cosmo Cricket Boyfriend paper pack!!

Sorry bout the glare on the cards, I am working on finding a new camera or a photo box to solve this problem!!

I have these friends!

I have been working on a friends birthday present for a year. His birthday is the day after mine, June 2nd! I worked on it before his birthday last year, then I missed my deadline and then I forgot about it! I finished it this year, but it didn't turn out like I had hoped. I am going to give it to him anyhow even if it is a week late! They are cross stitched pac man ghosts, and then I made them into magnets! I had a lot of fun making them!

Okay so heres the deal though, my husband came home the other night with my birthday present from him and his wife, and it is amazing! Funny thing is it was hand made magnets. It is Olimar and three pikmin from the video game Pikmin that I LOVE!!  So it got me thinking that I need to make him something else to make up for the year lost and something from a game that he loves as much as I love Pikmin. So this pillow was what I came up with! It is a slime from a game called Dragon Quest! I had a lot of fun making this one too, but my husband wants to keep it! Jenn don't let him see, I am bringing it by later!!
